DAkkS Calibration
DAkkS accredited calibrations ensure accurate and reliable measurement results that are traceable to national standards.
We offer DAkkS accredited calibrations according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 for the following products:
Current measurement modules CMM III, CMM VI, CMM 2CH and CMM 3CH
Voltage measurement systems MesSy II and MesSy II FD
The recommended calibration interval for the mentioned CMM and MesSy according to the manufacturer's specifications is 24 months.
How do we proceed?
First calibration: Determination of the actual measurement deviation of the calibration object
Adjustment: Adjustment of the calibration object
Second calibration: Determination of the measurement deviation of the calibration object after adjustment
Recalibration CMM/MesSy
During the recalibration, your CMM/MesSy is calibrated, adjusted, and calibrated again. This way, you receive two calibration certificates from IRS. One with the measurement results before adjustment (1st calibration) and one with the results after adjustment (2nd calibration). This ensures you always have an overview of the previous and current accuracy of your device.
If your CMM/MesSy may not be adjusted during recalibration, this must be explicitly noted at the time of ordering.
New CMM/MesSy
A new CMM/MesSy is always adjusted before delivery, and you will receive a calibration certificate with the measurement results after adjustment.

Decision Rule for the Conformity Assessment of Measurement Values
The following diagram shows our decision rule for the conformity assessment of measurement values considering the measurement uncertainty (MU). The diagram exemplifies a calibration with a nominal value of 10A, a tolerance of 0.1A, and a calculated MU of 0.004A.

Nominal value: measured value from the standard.
Measured value: value measured from the calibration item.
Extended measurement uncertainty (MU): measure of the dispersion of the measured value caused by the measuring procedure, the standard, and the calibration item.
Tolerance: maximum permissible deviation from the nominal value according to manufacturer specifications.
Labeling of the measured values in the calibration certificate
The measurement is within the tolerance: none
The measurement is within the tolerance with a probability of 50 % to 95 %: ?
The measurement is outside the tolerance with a probability of > 50 %: X
