## Product description

The Level Converter V5.0 is an interface converter that converts RS232 signals from a PC into the signal levels required for K-Line or RS485. Thanks to galvanic isolation of at least 1 kV, the PC hardware is reliably protected against malfunctions on the device under test (DUT). Available in two variants – a K-Line version and an RS485 version – in a rugged housing, the Level Converter V5.0 can be used flexibly in a wide range of applications.

## Technical description

The device precisely converts RS232 signals to the specific requirements of K-Line or RS485 communication:

K-Line: A bidirectional single-wire bus used primarily in the automotive industry for diagnostics and control (ISO 9141, ISO 14230-1).

RS485: A differential serial interface that excels in industrial applications thanks to its high noise immunity and suitability for long transmission distances.

The integrated galvanic isolation prevents unwanted voltage transfer and minimizes interference, ensuring stable and secure data exchange.
